Galician Cider

Cider is a drink traditionally associated with other communities and not so much with Galicia, although it is the leading national community in the production of cider apple par excellence.

Its elaboration in historical books is documented by the year 950, but its production in small private Galician wineries has been and is tradition, reaching cider terms to be denominations of towns or places.

For some years now, we have been several wineries in Galicia that have tried to promote Galician Cider by marketing it not only at the regional or national level, but also internationally.

In the Villa de Noia (A Coruña) in the month of August we celebrate the "Noia Cider Festival"since the municipality has always had a cider custom, being several individuals with their own production of apples of different varieties of both cider and table.
